According to Tanya Denning-Orman, “You were delving into my Soul when you presented me with my chart”. Growing up a proud Birri and Guugu Yimidhirr woman in Central and North Queensland, she acknowledges the Stars played as much of an integral role in her life as her family!
In this week’s Astrology for Leaders, Tanya reveals her journey from the bush to the boardroom. In our conversation, she shares how her innate ability to persist towards achieving meaningful results over time has served her well throughout her career. Born with a stellium of planets (the Sun, Jupiter, Moon, Mercury and the North Node) in fixed earth sign Taurus and located in the part of her chart which indicates her professional calling, Tanya has strong values, self-belief and a calling to do work that is deeply rooted in her country. But it goes deeper than that, with Venus in Aries next to Chiron, the wounded healer, she is called to take action on behalf of others who have been wounded.
Her gift comes through story-telling. Whether that was as a young journalist covering stories for the ABC and SBS or more recently to Media Executives. Her role is a lynch-pin in getting the first nation’s stories heard and in doing so, bring opportunity for people to heal.
I was covered in goose-bumps for much of our conversation. Tanya is nothing short of grounded inspiration. I hope you enjoy it!
